Voters in five key battleground seats have backed an end to
native forest logging while strongly supporting investment in
new timber plantations, wood product manufacturing and funding
for forest management jobs, including improved fire management.

2024.
The results show that:
• Seven in 10 Australians (69%) support an end to native forest
logging on public land across Australia, including 37% who
strongly support an end.
• Only one in five (19%) oppose an end to native forest logging
across Australia.
• There is majority support for ending native forest logging
across Australia in Western Australia (71%), NSW (70%), Victoria
(66%) and Queensland (68%).
• There is majority support for ending native forest logging on
public land across Australia from all major voting intentions,
with highest level of support from Labor voters (79%), followed
by Greens voters (76%), Coalition voters (62%), One Nation
voters (61%) and Independent/Other voters (57%).
